 CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Working with Donna completely reshaped how I study. Her clear explanations, relatable examples, and personalized study tips  helped me understand difficult topics with confidence. It is clear she has a strong passion for teaching nursing students. I highly recommend!
- Kelly T. NCLEX-RN Graduate.

Donna is such an amazing resource and one of the biggest reasons I was able to pass my nclex exam. I failed my first time in 150 questions. I had studied months in advance. I felt so defeated and did not know how I could have studied any different. Donna was so understanding and able to specifically identify what areas I needed help in. I realized it was not what I was studying, but how I was studying the material. We met once a week and practiced answering questions in a smart and organized way. I did this for a month and a half before I took my Nclex a second time. I finally passed in 85 questions. Donna, you are simply amazing and I am forever grateful for you and the knowledge and guidance you were able to provide.

- Caroline K. NCLEX-RN Graduate.

Donna’s ability to figure out your learning style and cater study sessions to meet your needs is unmatched. I would not have passed my NCLEX without her help!

- Chrissy C. NCLEX-RN Graduate.

Donna was an incredible help to me during nursing school and while studying for the NCLEX. She has a real gift for breaking down complex questions and explaining exactly how to think through them. Her study techniques and mnemonics made it so much easier to remember medications and connect disease processes in a way that actually made sense. Everything she taught was clear, concise, and practical — it completely changed how I approached studying. I’m so grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone preparing for the NCLEX!

- Jillian NCLEX-RN Graduate.

I cannot recommend Donna highly enough! Preparing for the NCLEX felt overwhelming and stressful at first, but Donna turned that anxiety into confidence. From our very first session, she took the time to really get to know me as a learner — my strengths, my weaknesses, and how I approach test questions. She didn’t just teach me content; she taught me how I learn best.

Donna is patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and has a gift for explaining complex concepts in a way that finally makes sense. What truly sets her apart is how much she personalizes her tutoring. She evaluates your strengths and weaknesses, then tailors each session to address what you actually need. She also focuses on your testing strategies — not just generic tips — so by the time test day comes, you have a plan that feels natural, familiar, and effective.

With Donna, every session felt purposeful. We worked through countless practice questions, reviewed rationales in depth, and practiced test-taking techniques until they became second nature. I always left our sessions feeling supported, challenged, and motivated.

What I appreciated most about Donna was how encouraging and compassionate she was throughout the entire process. She creates a safe, positive environment where you never feel embarrassed about what you don’t know. Instead, she builds you up, celebrates your progress, and pushes you to reach your potential.

Thanks to Donna’s guidance, I went into the NCLEX calm, confident, and prepared — and I passed on my first try! If you’re looking for a tutor who will go above and beyond, customize your learning, and truly invest in your success, Donna is the tutor you need.

ABOUT US

ABOUT ME

Greetings!  I’m Donna Albanese-Funk, creator of Nurse in Process Tutoring.

Let’s face facts. Nursing school is a whirlwind of information coming at you in lectures, labs, clinicals, and many other experiences. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That is why I created Nurse in Progress Tutoring.

I believe that nursing education needs to be more creative and engaging. There is also a large education-to-practice gap that new nurses face when they first start treating patients. My goal is to help you learn what you need to know during nursing school and help you prepare for the NCLEX.

I am a registered nurse with a BSN, currently working on my Master’s degree in Nursing Education. I am also a licensed pharmacist and hold a doctorate in medicine ( M.D). I have many years of experience in healthcare and years of experience tutoring as well.

Let’s take this journey together!
